Checking in with a blood sugar of 121. It’s been up and down, but I learned quite a bit.
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
It is normal for it to fluctuate but eating well will continue to have an effect in the longer term too. Thanks for joining us Virginia
Rose
Thanks for the information and for providing a need for me to think before I ate. I will persevere-these 21 days have shown me I CAN make the changes I need to make. 10 pounds lighter and not 1cookie for 21 days!
Cheryl
Thank you. I still need to lower FBS but I will use my new tools to continue the journey.
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
Thanks for joining us Cheryl. Remember, levels throughout the day are important too. Some people have great daily numbers and great A1c and still struggle to get fasting numbers down, so don’t let that deter you from thinking you’re making progress.
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
YES Rose, YOU CAN! 10 pounds and no cookie – YOU did that! Thanks for joining us Rose and keep on going.

Day 21. Fasting 148. Thanks for a great challenge. The focus is important, and useful information. It might not have been the best timing during my prostate surgery recovery. After 3 weeks I still have blood in my urine, but it’s getting to be less. Also for over 2 weeks, I had significant swelling in my feet and lower legs, but now they are back to normal.
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
Well maybe it was the perfect time Doug because eating better will help you have a faster recovery. Hope everything levels out better soon. Thanks for joining us again.
Lori
Thank you. I realized a lot more going on with blood sugar than food alone. Diabetes is a complicated endocrine disease. The information has been very helpful.
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)

Ellen
The challenge really was an eye opener to all the wrong foods I had been eating and thinking I had it all under control. Staying away from bread was very hard and I must admit, almost impossible for me. Really enjoyed getting on a diet plan that made sense for type 2 diabetes. Appreciate all the information.
Irida

The challenge made me realize how dependent I am on grain based foods. Numbers are not yet where they should be, but can now invision a light at the end of the tunnel. Look forward to the next challenge.

Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
Hi Saima, yes there was a reply, as follows, Coming off medications will be on an individual basis as each persons case is different. If you continue to eat well you can work with your doctor to reduce and eliminate medications over time. See our info on hypoglycemia here. Hope that helps. Thanks for checking in Saima!
