About Dr Jedha & The Research Behind the T2Diet Approach
I’m Dr Jedha, a diabetes nutrition scientist and researcher.
For more than a decade, I’ve worked exclusively in type 2 diabetes and prediabetes nutrition, combining real-world clinical outcomes with rigorous academic research.
My work focuses on translating complex science into practical strategies people can actually follow in everyday life.

Why I Do This Work
For years, I saw the same pattern repeat itself.
People were told they had prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, given vague advice to “eat better” or “lose weight,” and sent away with little understanding of what actually drives blood sugar or how to change it. Many were started on medications without ever being given any other option, left with no clear nutrition framework to follow.
What troubled me most was a lack of clarity. People were overwhelmed by conflicting advice, unsure who to trust, and often blamed themselves when their numbers didn’t improve.
My work focuses on translating high-quality evidence into practical guidance people can understand, apply, and sustain over time.

What Makes My Work Different
Original Research, Not Borrowed
Most nutrition advice relies on summarizing other people’s studies. My work is different. The T2Diet Approach is built on original clinical research that I designed, led and published, including a world-first randomized controlled trial in type 2 diabetes nutrition and digital health—the T2Diet Study.
Translation, Not Information Overload
Research alone doesn’t change outcomes. My focus has always been on translating complex evidence into clear, practical guidance so people understand what matters, why it matters, and what to do next.
A Structured Framework, Not Guesswork
Rather than vague advice or conflicting rules, my work is organized around a clear, 3-phase framework. This gives people direction, removes confusion, and supports steady progress over time so that people can not only achieve results but sustain them.
Long-Term Outcomes, Not Short-Term Fixes
Quick wins are easy to promise. Sustained improvement is harder to achieve. My work focuses on approaches people can maintain, with outcomes that extend beyond short-term results.
The Research Behind DMP
The T2Diet Approach is grounded in original clinical research, not borrowed theories or trend-based advice.
The T2Diet Study was a world-first randomized controlled trial designed to evaluate a digitally delivered, healthy low-carbohydrate nutrition program for adults with type 2 diabetes. Unlike many nutrition studies, it focused on real-world application — how people eat, learn, and apply changes over time.
The study demonstrated clinically meaningful improvements in key health outcomes, including reductions in A1c, weight, and diabetes medication use.
Importantly, participants were able to follow the approach with high adherence, showing that structured nutrition education can deliver lasting results when it is clear and practical.
This research now forms the foundation of the T2Diet Approach, shaping how education, structure and support are delivered to our members.
Key outcomes from the T2Diet Study include:
- Significant reductions in A1c
- Meaningful weight loss
- Reduced reliance on diabetes medications
- High engagement and adherence in a real-world setting

From Research to Real Life
Research only matters if it improves people’s lives.
My work has always focused on taking high-quality evidence and applying it in real-world settings — where people are busy, overwhelmed, and trying to make sense of conflicting advice.
Evidence over opinion is the foundation behind the education, tools, and support offered through DMP.
