This show is great!! I have had type 2 diabetes for 12 years. I have gleaned so much FACT BASED information from this show. Dr Jedha follows the science. I wait for it to come out every week.
This is the first episode that I’ve watched. Thanks to the information on this podcast, I will be changing my sugar substitute to take advantage of the opportunity to lower after meal blood sugar levels. I’m looking forward to watching more podcasts.
This podcast has helped me so much in understanding all the complexities around type 2 diabetes. I have such a better understanding of how to eat, what to eat, and exercising. And how important all these puzzle pieces are to my overall health
I have just listened to the “Understanding Cholesterol” podcast and found it extremely enlightening. I have listened to several podcasts that Dr. Jedha has created and always find them helpful and with practical suggestions to help me on my health journey. Thank you Dr. Jedha for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
I just want to say thank you for this great podcast. I enjoy every single episode and have been learning so much about my diabetes and my health that I never knew.
I listen to all your podcast episodes. They are all extremely informative and helpful. Although I have been a DMP member for several years, I continually learn something new all the time. Your website, meal plans, recipes, information, and support have made a huge difference for my diabetes. Although I was initially diagnosed as Type 2 in 2006, I discovered several years later that I actually have Type 1 (LADA) diabetes. However, I believe everything you with your focus on Type 2 and pre-diabetes also helps me just as much even though I am Type 1.
Originally, I was prescribed Metformin and Januvia (which were stopped as a Type 1), and I gradually needed insulin therapy. I use a Dexcom G7 CGM, NovoLog bolus before meals and for corrections, with Tresiba as basal at bedtime. Over the past 4–5 years, my total daily insulin has increased from about 10 to 40 units daily. However, in the last 9 months, I followed recommendations from Dr. Jedha and Emily, along with renewed focus on cooking meals from your meal plans, and my A1C has dropped from 8.1 to 6.6% with very stable and minimal variability! I expect to get an insulin pump within the next year, and think that will improve my diabetes management further, especially since I currently do about 6–7 injections every day.
Thanks for all you do, and these podcasts are a really nice complement to your other offerings. Hopefully more people will discover how you can help them too.
I enjoy listening to Dr. Jedha from DMP. She’s a Nutritionist and shares very valuable information regarding what’s healthy for pre diabetics and diabetic patients. She leads a DMP, Diabetes Meal Plan program that I have been a member of for over a year. I truly enjoy the benefits of the library and podcasts.
I’m sorry to say that I can’t listen to your podcast because I’m deaf since I was a child . But I do read the texts and it seems so interesting and informative ! Maybe one day podcasts could be subtitled .
I hope my ratings still count
I look forward to the various topics that Dr. Jedha reviews with each episode. She is so knowledgeable and thorough with her suggestions and techniques. It is also very helpful that they are in the library because some episodes need to be reviewed a couple of times when you are struggling with issues.
Since I discovered this podcast I really look forward to it every week. I recently joined as a member and I’m loving that so far too! The podcast just adds so much more to what’s available inside the members site. Thank you so much, so glad I found you.
Thanks for this fantastic podcast. I’d struggled to lower my morning levels and had never been given any proper advice on this before. Now I’ve put a few things in place and am already seeing it go down after a couple of weeks.
