    Late to the party

Im pre diabetic and a vegetarian, i was Diagnosed in May 2025. I’ve been doing a free course designed by the NHS for the past 7 months ( once a month, i staryed in september) before I started I managed to loose a stone in weight. Since starting and following their advice I’ve put 4lbs back on!
I started listening to this podcast about 6 weeks ago. I’m only on episode 25 having started at the neginning, OMG its both informative and interesting and life changing. I have felt for ages that the advice I was getting on my course was out of date and it turns out that its very different to the science based podcast. So i’m on a new journey, using the advice from Dr Jedha, lowering my carbs, not being over worried about fats ( as long as they are the right ones) and I’m back down the 4lbs with a whole new outlook.
    Thankyou.

    Episode 115

Very informative, and this information is hardly shared with my physician when diagnosing.
I always wonder what the peak rise of RBS will be after a meal. This information will be very helpful .Thank you Dr Jedha

Blood glucose 1 hour after eating pod cast.

Thank you for the insight and new information. I am new to this and corrected my numbers prior to finding you. I now am around 100 + or – in the morning and didn’t feel the need to test post meal. I will start now and will do both the 1 & 2 hour test for a while to get some data. Thank you very much. BTW I have learned more from you & your postings than I have from the research I have done using the Mayo site, the Cleveland site and the John’s Hopkins site. I still can not believe some of the carb recommendations some of those folks say are ok. I try to stay below 75 – 100 per day and load protein when it goes above 75. Will find results of lab tests at next doctor appointment in a couple of weeks. Thanks again. Jim

Thank you so much for all your help and support! Each podcast and the DMP website are packed with good science backed information. You have helped give me a clear plan of action to reverse my diabetes/prediabetes. So far my A1C is down from 8.6 to 6.2 and I am working to get it lower.

    Chocolate

I have only been listening to the podcast for about a month. I Find them very informative and very interesting. I have been eating 90% Cacao chocolate for a couple of years and I only have 20G. Each 20g bar is individually wrapped and it’s a 100g block of Roth Moser brand. I have had type 2 for nearly 9 years and my doctor told me if I cant get my blood sugar down by the next 3 months he is going to put me on Ozempic which I really don’t want. So I am really trying my hardest to get them down before my next blood test in 3 months. I really praying I can do it. Thank you for a brilliant information on your podcast it has brought hope to help me get to my goal.

    DMP program

Dr Jedha and her team provide a great program called DMP ( Diabetic Meal Plan). I’ve been a VIP member for past 18 months and I’ve been able to learn about pre diabetes as well as understand everything that impacts my health regarding diabetes. If you have been newly diagnosed or may have had it for years and you just don’t understand the disease, sign up for the program and start reading their library or check out their different programs. The podcasts are also very good and just part of what you could be learning.

Podcast great for my Type 1 diabetes too

I listen to all your podcast episodes. They are all extremely informative and helpful. Although I have been a DMP member for several years, I continually learn something new all the time. Your website, meal plans, recipes, information, and support have made a huge difference for my diabetes. Although I was initially diagnosed as Type 2 in 2006, I discovered several years later that I actually have Type 1 (LADA) diabetes. However, I believe everything you with your focus on Type 2 and pre-diabetes also helps me just as much even though I am Type 1.

Originally, I was prescribed Metformin and Januvia (which were stopped as a Type 1), and I gradually needed insulin therapy. I use a Dexcom G7 CGM, NovoLog bolus before meals and for corrections, with Tresiba as basal at bedtime. Over the past 4–5 years, my total daily insulin has increased from about 10 to 40 units daily. However, in the last 9 months, I followed recommendations from Dr. Jedha and Emily, along with renewed focus on cooking meals from your meal plans, and my A1C has dropped from 8.1 to 6.6% with very stable and minimal variability! I expect to get an insulin pump within the next year, and think that will improve my diabetes management further, especially since I currently do about 6–7 injections every day.

Thanks for all you do, and these podcasts are a really nice complement to your other offerings. Hopefully more people will discover how you can help them too.

    Diabetic/Pre diabetic education

I enjoy listening to Dr. Jedha from DMP. She’s a Nutritionist and shares very valuable information regarding what’s healthy for pre diabetics and diabetic patients. She leads a DMP, Diabetes Meal Plan program that I have been a member of for over a year. I truly enjoy the benefits of the library and podcasts.

    Podcast is very helpful!

I look forward to the various topics that Dr. Jedha reviews with each episode. She is so knowledgeable and thorough with her suggestions and techniques. It is also very helpful that they are in the library because some episodes need to be reviewed a couple of times when you are struggling with issues.

Thanks for this fantastic podcast. I’d struggled to lower my morning levels and had never been given any proper advice on this before. Now I’ve put a few things in place and am already seeing it go down after a couple of weeks.
