This site has been what I’ve needed to keep me on track despite having a set back due to medication change. If I did not have this site I am sure I would be raiding the chocolate chip cookies! I believe that I have truly changed my eating habits. Thank you for all the information that you have provided it has been helpful VERY helpful. Looking forward to trying more meal plans.

Day 21, fasting blood sugar 79, ate mushroom scramble then 2 hours later my blood sugar was 101. I really enjoy the accountability tied in with the 21 day challenge. I really wanted my wife to join in this round but she didn’t, I hope she tries something before she starts losing body parts or her life to something that is controllable. I’m glad I got to see the progress from all the participants and I want to reassure everyone that you can track yourself and stay the course.

Last Day.:FBS 121. Pleased to have participated and use/integrate information again. Staying accountable w/ these challenges and learning more about me and my eating habits. This really is very humbling at times to realize I cannot control what I thought I could. My work is to continue refining my shopping/cooking habits more and continue developing better health habits. Food really is Medicine now and even though I love the concept, it is hard to practice ALL the time. DMP…I am glad I ‘stumbled’ on to your website quite by accident. You are a fantastic support and wealth of knowledge about diabetes. I am indebted to your commitment to sharing and informing what you know and your experience. Thank you.

Thanks for your kind words Gerry. We’re so glad you’re feeling empowered to continue to make those changes. Keep up that commitment to you. 🙂

Day 21 – Fasting: 113. Breakfast (13g): Cottage Cheese, Cinnamon, Blueberries, Slivered Almonds & V8. With 1u NovoLog, BG 184 after 2 hr (+51).
Thanks for helping me to get back on track during this challenge. I had slipped somewhat over the holidays, and my 8.3 A1C reflected that. So the timing was just right to get my focus back, and it has made a huge difference. And I know I can even do better.
Last 30 days: BG 148, Carbs 98, Cal 1,438.
Jan 2019: BG 183, Carbs 124, Cal 1,693.
Dec 2018: BG 210, Carbs 110, Cal: 1,470.
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
Definitely good timing Doug. Those pesky holidays have a tendency to send us off track. Glad you’re back in line. 👍

Hi, checking in, day 21. I must say I’ve cut out potatoes – always a temptation for me! I’ve been having cauliflower and broccoli instead. My blood sugar has been largely normal and so being more strict with myself has paid off. Many thanks for helping me be more accountable, it will be very interesting when I stop taking berberine for a while. I’m due to go for a diabetic review on the 5th march, I will be interested to see how my blood sugar is then.
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
Thanks for participating Jacq. Feel free to check back with us and let us know the outcome of your review.

These last 3 weeks have helped me realize the importance of planning my meals and eliminating those carbs! My numbers look good and I feel so much better . Thank you to all for a wonderful learning (and life) experience. Onward to a happy and healthier life!
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)

Val
Good morning! I can’t believe this is the last day. I am so grateful for the information and support. My doctor gave me a prescription for a glucose meter so I will be able to test myself after eating foods to see how they impact my blood sugar. I learned so much and the daily check ins have really helped me stay on track. Thanks!
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
Thanks for participating Val and we hope you continue to use the information to improve your health 🙂
Lori
Hi – I’ve made changes, not huge, but I am getting the feedback that when I eat “normally”, ie, the meat, starch, veg, dessert way, it doesn’t work for me. I am working on cutting out/reducing the bread, pasta, potatoes which seems to be the biggie for me and has gotten the best results over the past 3 weeks. The supporting materials you provide help, too. Thanks
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
Changing habits takes time Lori so keep working at it. The most important thing is you can see the changes by doing so and if you focus on getting those improvements, the habit-change gets easier!

I signed up for full membership and I am getting the daily notices for checking in but I can’t find where to put comments once I log in. Help! Drop me a screen shot or something because I am missing it
Emily - Dietitian (MS, RD)
Hi Bill. When you loggin and are looking at our home page you want to look for a header that says “ME.” It will be in red and likely towards the top, right of your screen.
Hover over the “ME” section and you will see where you can click for the daily check-ins.
Let me know if this works for you, or we can try to have someone else from our team assist your further if needed.

Hi. I just learned that you are extending the blood sugar check in until January 7, 2019.
I can’t thank you enough for continuing for a little longer. I will do better with my diet! I made the raspberry pie yesterday. Very nice little treat!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
