Hellooo Friends and trusting all is well and great with you all! Dad this is over but glad my numbers are going down! I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis 3 years ago so I battle my sugars all the time. However I canโt let them get and wear me down! So I watch what I eat and drink lots of water and monitor!!! I have loved the meals and plans will keep up with them as I educate others!!! Remember friends donโt sweat the small or large stuff for that matter! Look for the positive in EVERYTHING!! Stay strong and empowered!!! WE GOT THIS STILL!!! ๐

Thanks for joining in Loral and keep on going and sharing the message ๐

FBS 137. Thanks for the Challenges (this is my 3rd). Helps me get back to watching what I eat. Diabetes is a daily challenge and I need to focus on what I eat every day.
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
Thanks Doug – we all need the refocus. Make yourself a priority, especially your food ๐

Day 21 Check in. I appreciate the information on file, and presented again. I find it amazing that little things can throw me off track. Sometimes I am weary of cooking, and find the diet difficult to maintain with a spouse who is on-diabetic. Then I look at the damages of not controlling diabetes, and those results would be even more difficult to manage! I am motivated again to stay the course. This challenge was helpful… thank you!
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
Excellent Sheryl – it can be difficult and we all stray, which is why we have these challenges regularly, they serve as a good reminder and refocus. Thanks for joining in!

FBS: 135. Before dinner 99; 2 hours after dinner 116
My meter averages; last 90 days 156; 30 days135; 14 days 115; last 7 day average 108.
I would say that is pretty terrific for someone whose numbers were in the low and mid 200’s 21 days ago. I have always checked my blood 2x a day… before breakfast and before dinner and now I see that after dinner #’s are important too. Nothing like feeling like a pin cushion…, but… maybe just maybe I can get my #’s and weight to a point where I can get off of the long list of meds I am on. So I will continue on … and hope for the best.
I have gotten a lot of satisfaction that I have made it through this challenge… it really was a challenge for me to organize myself to get into an exercise regimen and to purchase, prepare and clean up the mess of all this cooking….and then doing it the next day. Always thinking of food!!
Jedha: Nutritionist (MNutr)
I’d say that’s EXCELLENT Alice. Imagine what you can continue to do moving forward… you can definitely get your weight down and no doubt in time you can have your doctor reevaluate your meds. We look forward to hearing your updates in future.

Happy Fourth of July! I can’t believe we are at the end of this challenge. I really appreciate all the information, help and support this group and you especially Jedha and team at DMP have provided. I plan to continue doing this diet. I joined DMP and will continue to read and use the multiple resources and diet recipes in my daily living. I feel different since beginning this challenge. I lost almost 10 lbs. and my FBS has dropped closer to the 100 range. My FBS this morning was 109. I feel empowered to do something about my diabetes now. Thank you again for everything. The group was great. I look forward to the next challenge.

Good morning! Checking in. I guess I missed yesterday’s check in. Busy trying to get my makeshift “kitchen” together for Instant Pot cooking. I needed to find a few smaller baking dishes that will fit into the pot. I found a recipe that I think will be good to try. Today is Independence Day in the States so I bought strawberries to celebrate. I had cottage cheese with strawberries, peach slices, and nuts and seeds for breakfast this morning. Saw a video on YouTube on how to cook frozen veggies in the Instant Pot. It looks very easy so I am encouraged. I will be making more cole slaw with red cabbage and carrots. Thanks for the article a while back on mayo as that goes in the cole slaw, too. Best, Val

Happy Independence Day – enjoy your treats and celebrations Val. Thanks for participating in the challenge again and cook luck with your mini kitchen

Thank you so much for having the challenge. I am trying to scoop up all the good information I can and this was perfect. Your resources are top notch! I managed to lose 6# during the challenge and had tried just about everything before to lose weight.
FBS this morning was 107 and 105 yesterday. I ate fairly light yesterday but think I had more carbs than normal. Iโll continue using my Lose It! App, love it.

Thanks for the feedback Barbara – glad you enjoyed the challenge!
